Sunny Imports does not own or operate any vehicle auction houses. We provide: A subscription service allowing you to search and view eligible vehicles from Japanese auctions that meet Australian import approval rules. The ability to request inspections, price estimates, and bidding on specific vehicles. Importing and compliance services for purchased vehicles. All auctions are run independently by licensed Japanese auction houses. Sunny Imports acts as your importing agent, arranging bidding and handling the import process on your behalf once you instruct us and pay the required deposit.

"Landed and Complied" estimates include the estimated cost of Australian compliance. "Landed" estimates exclude compliance costs, which will be quoted separately. All estimates are based on current exchange rates, shipping rates, and other costs at the time of issue. Final costs may change due to variations in these factors. Unless stated otherwise, estimates do not include: insurance, personalised/custom plates, state registration, or optional extras.

A deposit is required before we will bid on any vehicle on your behalf. This deposit confirms your intent to purchase if the bid is successful. Once you instruct us to place a bid and it is submitted, it cannot be withdrawn without potential costs. If you request to withdraw a bid, we will attempt to cancel it, but you will be liable for any cancellation fees charged by the auction house or our agents. If the bid is successful before cancellation, you are responsible for paying the full agreed purchase price of the vehicle.

You are responsible for any additional costs that arise from: Auction locations that require extra inland transport (e.g., remote regions, Hokkaido, Okinawa). Vehicles that are non-drivable, damaged, or require customised transport arrangements. Storage fees at the port or auction facility if caused by delays outside our control.

A pro forma invoice is issued after your bid is successful. This outlines the total payable amount before payment is made. Full payment must be made by the due date stated on the invoice to avoid delays or cancellation. Late payment may result in additional costs or forfeiture of your deposit.

Auction houses do not provide insurance for loss or damage once the vehicle leaves their premises. Risk transfers to you at the point of purchase. We strongly recommend marine cargo insurance for shipping. We can arrange this upon request through our partner insurer.

Subscription plans give you access to our vehicle search tool and other tier-specific benefits. Prize tickets earned through subscriptions have no cash value and can only be used in Sunny Imports prize draws. Subscriptions renew automatically unless cancelled. Cancellation must be made at least 7 days before your next billing date to avoid being charged.

"Reasonable notice" means at least 7 days' written notice for cancellations or major service changes. If you cancel after a bid has been placed, clause 3 applies regarding deposits and costs.

These Terms are governed by the laws of Queensland, Australia, and applicable federal laws, including the Australian Consumer Law. Nothing in these Terms excludes or limits your rights under the Australian Consumer Law.

We are not liable for auction outcomes, vehicle condition outside inspection reports, or any loss caused by delays or actions outside our control. Our maximum liability is limited to the total amount you have paid to us for the service in question.

Any disputes should first be raised with us in writing. If not resolved, disputes will be handled in accordance with Queensland law.
