The $990 deposit is deducted from your final car purchase price. You're pre-paying part of the cost of the car, not paying an extra fee.
$500 VIP service fee
The $500 VIP Concierge fee covers your 2-month active search period. It is not credited toward your purchase price. It pays for the service itself.
No hidden fees
Total import cost = hammer price + auction fees + freight + compliance + duty/GST. Your $990 deposit is already counted in this total, not an extra charge on top.
Please note: both the $990 deposit and $500 VIP service fee are non-refundable once payment is made.
